Searching Library Databases Tutorials

Designed to familiarize you with the essential information of database searching, the tutorials are in seven short parts. Parts one through three are a single unit and should be viewed sequentially. Parts four through seven build on the skills and information of the first three parts. They cover the databases of education and may be viewed sequentially or in any order.

The tutorials allow you control the pace of the tutorial. You may proceed through the screens with forward and backward arrows.

Part One: Database Basics - covers the vocabulary of database searching - field, record/citation, abstract, full-text - and the basic (very basics) of database design
