- American Mathematical Society
- Founded in 1888 to further mathematical research and scholarship, the American Mathematical Society fulfills its mission through programs and services that promote mathematical research and its uses, strengthen mathematical education, and foster awareness and appreciation of mathematics and its connections to other disciplines and to everyday life.
- MathWorld: The Web's Most Extensive Mathematics Resource
- Wolfram MathWorld is an amazing mathematics resource with sections on algebra, applied mathematics, calculus, geometry, and much more. This is a frequently updated site with a search engine and several indexes for finding topics.
- Mathematical Atlas
- Organized according to the Mathematics Subject Classification devised by the American Mathematical Society and its German counterpart. Each division of the classification has its own page with an introduction, list of subdivisions, bibliography of general works on the subject, selected Web sites with hotlinks, and hotlinks to related information on this site.
- The University of Michigan Historical Mathematics Collection
- This collection contains the digitized full-text collection of the University of Michigan's mathematics books published during the late 19th and early 20th century. Browsing the collection is available, as well as searching by keyword, proximity, boolean, and bibliographic citation.
- Math Archives
- Links to sites that have a significant collection of mathematical software; it also includes links containing information about mathematical software. Arrangement is by mathematical topic--everything from algebra, calculus, and geometry to complex analysis and fractals to art and music.
- National Science Digital Library
- Organized point of access to collections and services for science, technology, engineering, and mathermatics education and research.
- Project AstroBio
- Targeted primarily toward K-12 educators, Created at the University of Washington, site offers a broad overview of science education tools from the traditional to the more modern and eclectic. Topics run the gamut of astronomy, physics, chemistry, and math, to skepticism and pseudoscience, ethics, and the history of science.
- Measure for Measure
- Collection of interactive sites on the web that estimate, calculate, evaluate, translate, etc.; i.e., it is a collection of links to sites that actually perform calculations. The site is divided into the categories: "Science/Math," "Health," "Finance," and "A Measure of Everything Else." There are even calendar calculators and converters to translate dates between calendar systems.
- Math Forum at Drexel
- Comprehensive resource for Math education assistance. Contains hands-on web learning tools, lesson plans, and activities for pre-kindergarten through college courses. Helpful features are online lesson plans, divided by grade, and the Internet Mathematics Library which contains links to other math web sites. The Ask Dr. Math section is extremely helpful.
- Mathematical Sciences Digital Library
- Outstanding resource for both instructors and students of mathematics. Organized into four primary sections, and future growth is anticipated. Featured links for each section are included on the home page, and numerous other resources are available within each specialty area.
- lanl.arXiv.org
- This open access to e-prints in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Biology, and Statistics is funded by the National Science Foundation and maintained by Cornell University.
