American Presidency Project
The American Presidency Project's archives contain 76,360 documents related to the study of the Presidency. Some of the documents included are Public Papers of the Presidents, Convention Speeches, Inaugural Addresses, and many more. There is data on elections from 1828 through 2004. Also included are links to all of the Presidential Libraries.

Geared to students and the general public, it has a search engine and topical links to connect users with a wide array of government information from federal, state, local, and international sources.
Biographical Dictionary of the U.S. Congress
Provides biographical information on the more than 13,000 persons who have served in the U.S. Congress. Included are territorial delegates, resident commissioners, and U.S. Vice presidents. Based on the print publication Biographical Directory of the United States Congress. Authoritative source about those who have served in the country's national legislature.

This site from the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania is both nonpartisan and nonprofit. It monitors the accuracy of what politicians say in speeches, ads, and interviews. There is a section that allows the public to ask questions of the fact checker.
