Browser and Technical Requirements
VC Students use their BanSam email account username and password to access databases off campus. Instructions can be found at the BanSam registration page. SAM accounts are created before the first class day and expire at the end of each semester. Contact the VC Help Desk for assistance at 361-582-2509 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You must activate the account before you can access the library from off-campus.
Students who are enrolled in any type of cooperative program with VC need to contact the Access Services Librarian with their name, SS# and which program they are enrolled in to see if they may obtain access off campus.
University of Houston-Victoria
UHV Students use their UHV student computer accounts, which are setup for email, Blackboard, and computer lab access. The account must be activated before you can access library databases from off-campus. Students who are enrolled in any type of cooperative program with UHV need to contact the Access Services Librarian with their name, SS# and which program they are enrolled in to see if they are eligible for access off campus.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff at UHV and VC use their respective school's assigned email/computer account for off-campus access. Adjunct accounts are allowed semester-to-semester access for the periods when they are teaching. UHV Information Technology creates accounts for UHV adjuncts and VC Technology Services creates VC adjunct accounts.
