Disaster Recovery Plan

In September of 2002, a Business Contingency Plan was submitted to and approved by the Cabinet of the University of Houston-Victoria. Part of the plan was a recovery team and a risk analysis profile for the VC/UHV Library. This plan was updated in June of 2003 and used as a foundation for the Library ‘s response to Hurricane Claudette. In the plan, the major functions of the Library are listed, and providing access to the library web site is designated the critical task for the recovery team. Critical to the recovery of library services is the regular back up of the library web server and off-site storage of the back up material.
