Additional Information: The High Performance Schools Consortium was created by the Texas State Legislature's Senate Bill 1557, and brings together high-performing districts, with the purpose of advising the governor, Legislature and education commissioner on innovative assessment tools, new learning standards and accountability systems for the 21st century. It is hoped the consortium's most successful ideas and innovations become standard practice in Texas.
